The following article appeared in the Epping Forest Guardian this week.
The article highlights the importance of the public meeting that is due to take place at the Town Hall on 1 December from 7.30pm. This meeting has been organised by the Council and we are expecting the Foundation Trustees to attend and explain their decisions to the people of Waltham Abbey. The article also makes reference to an article that appeared last week on schooltravelorganiser.com, which has since been removed. In this article the journalist stated that the PGL development would be opening in May 2016 despite planning permission having not been submitted yet. It also contained a quote from Andrew Coates who represents the Foundation Trustees stating that the education programme would continue despite the fact that classrooms will be lost if the development goes through.
The people of Waltham Abbey deserve to know the truth about what is happening to their No 1 visitor attraction and a massively important part of the town’s heritage. Attend the meeting on 1 December.
